Victor Company of Japan, Limited usually referred to as JVC, is an international consumer and professional electronics corporation based in Yokohama, Japan. Founded in 1927, the company is best known for introducing Japan's first televisions, and developing the VHS JVC camcorders.The company has come a long way since then in making many a path breaking inventions in various products like JVC televisions, JVC accessories, JVC digital camcorders, JVC portable audio and JVC headphones.
In October 2001, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences presented JVC digital camcorders collection with an Emmy Award for "outstanding achievement in technological advancement" for "Pioneering Development of Consumer Camcorders."

JVC G-Series Camcorders
The JVC's Everio G series camcorders, the world's first hard drive camcorders, eliminate the need to carry tapes, discs or any media at all, yet can record up to seven hours of DVD movie-quality video or more than 10 hours at DVD camcorder-quality on a built-in hard disc drive.Other advantages of hard drive video recording include the ability to quickly locate desired material, to effortlessly delete unwanted material and to easily rearrange playback sequence.

JVC GZ Series Camcorders
The JVC Everio GZ series of digital camcorders eliminates the need of any type of media, while allowing users to record up to seven hours of DVD quality video.The JVC Everio GZ series camcorders have a built-in hard disk drive and are available in 20 and 30 GB capacity versions. The series currently consist of four models GZ-MG20, GZ-MG40 with 20 GB HDD that provide seven hours of DVD camcorder-quality (30-minute mode) video recording and GZ-MG30, GZ-MG50 with 30 GB HDD and 1.33 megapixel CCD lens that provide ten hours of the same.
The GZ-MG30 and GZ-MG50 record at 9Mbps, while the GZ-MG20 and GZ-MG40 record at 6 Mbps. The palm-sized camcorders with the battery attached weigh about 400 grams and include a 2.5-inch flip-out LCD monitor.
The camcorders have multiple connections allowing convenient TV playback, dubbing to a VCR or DVD recorder, transfer to a PC or Apple Macintosh for DVD creation, editing, posting to the Internet, or direct burning without a PC to a full length movie DVD disc using an optional DVD burner.
JVC GY Series Camcorders
Designed for news gathering, field production and cinematography, the GY series camcorders offer multiple frame rates recording. New image processing puts the GY series at a performance level that can be considered for mainstream HD production.The latest model in this series, GY-HD200 "B" includes 1080i recording to optional hard disk via IEEE1394, which is compatible with all major editing systems. Images are captured with full HD progressive CCDs, and can then be recorded to the optional hard disk in either 720p or 1080i. The user can also check out JVC's Pro-Spec package that includes 17:1 Fujinon lens, hard disk drive and Anton Bauer professional battery system.
JVC GR Series
For many video enthusiasts, small camcorders mean convenience. The JVC GR series camcorders come with a nice selection of manual controls and very impressive image and sound quality, especially when you consider its low price. Though it does have a few quirks - such as the bottom-loading tape door - it offers tremendous value to the point-and-shoot videographer.One can't help but wonder just how much smaller cameras are going to get. JVC's GR-series is definitely among the smallest of the Mini DV camcorders - not just in size, but price, too.
Looking over the JVC digital camcorder, it has the usual amenities-flip-out screen, traditional viewfinder, and all the camera controls in the usual places for consumer cameras, including the manual focus wheel (meant to be used by the right index finger) next to the still photo button.
A few models in JVC GR series camcorders also functions as digital still cameras.
