The price of this bike is prohibitive for the ordinary Indian masses, for at around 10.5 lakhs, it is meant for only avid bike enthusiasts in the select Indian market. Currently, it has been launched at four cities in India namely Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, and Chennai. While Bangalore has two dealers, the other cities have one dealer each.

Yamaha Motors set up the Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd. as a separate company to handle the sales of Yamaha motorbikes in India in 2005. Yamaha is rumored to have lost around Rs.1000 Crores in the past six years. In short,Yamaha has been giving the Indian consumer more than what it has been receiving. Yamaha continues to provide us with a great range of motorbikes at excellent prices.
